Q2: How do I get a refund under the Total Satisfaction Guarantee?

A: To request a refund under our Total Satisfaction Guarantee, the product must be returned in its entirety, just as you originally received it, in re-salable condition. Any missing packaging, instruction manual or promotional incentives will be charged against your refund. Products that are damaged due to accidents, improper use, mishandling, attempted repairs or scratches will NOT be accepted for refund or exchange. Once we have verified that the product is in re-salable condition, we will issue you a refund within 24 hours (shipping charge is not refundable). For more information, please read our CUSTOMER SERVICE section.  [back to top]

Q3: What is the warranty on this product?

A: The warranty on The Magic Frame and the Memories Boxes is for a period of one year. The warranty covers manufacturing defects on the product. It does not cover damage as a result of accidents, improper use, mishandling, attempted repairs or scratches. Broken stands on The Magic Frames are NOT covered under warranty. Under this warranty, we will repair or replace the product at our sole discretion. For more information, please read our CUSTOMER SERVICE section.  [back to top]

Q4: What is the minimum and maximum number of photos that I can use in The Magic Frame?

A: In principle, you can use just 2 photos, just as The Magic Frame was shipped to you with two Showbox Cards. In practice, though, you will find that regular photos are not as rigid as the Showbox Cards. Hence, it will not work optimally with just 2 photos. Based on our experience, we recommend a minimum of 12 photos. In fact, you will find that the more photos you have in The Magic Frame, the better it works (up to maximum of 40)! The exception to this is Kodak Royal photo paper, which is thicker. It is recommended that you put in a maximum of 30 Kodak Royal photos.  [back to top]

Q5: How do I remove the last photo that remains inside The Magic Frame?

A: DO NOT attempt to forcibly remove the last photo inside The Magic Frame! Instead, this photo will automatically come out when you insert a new stack of photos or the Showbox Card, and then close and re-open the drawer one time.[back to top]

Q6: I have photos that have curled over time. Can I use them in The Magic Frame?

A: The Magic Frame is designed to work only with flat photos. Try flattening out the photos by bending them in the opposite direction over a smooth edge.  [back to top]

Q7: After clicking through the same photos 30 or more times, I noticed that there are two faint lines across the photos. Is there something wrong with my unit?

A: Each time you pull and push in the drawer, a photo from the bottom of the stack moves to the top. If you do this slowly and observe, you will note that there are two small steel rollers that roll across the picture. It is the pressure from these rollers that leaves a slight imprint on the pictures. You may notice this more on glossy prints than on matte prints. Most people will not notice these lines unless they are looking for them. This roller imprint is inherent in the mechanical design of this product and is not a defect. If this is of concern to you, we suggest that you use duplicate prints in The Magic Frame. For example:
a) If you have the negatives, have another set of reprints made, and use the reprints in The Magic Frame.
b) If you do not have the negatives, go to a photo shop and have reprints made from your photos first, and then use the reprints in The Magic Frame.  [back to top]

Q8: Can I use 3.5"x5" photos with these Magic Frames?

A: No. The Standard, Deluxe and Elegance Magic Frames we sell are for use with 4"x6" photos only.[back to top]

Q9: How do I clean The Magic Frame glass?

A: To keep from scratching the surface, use a lint-free cloth, like those used to clean camera and photo equipment, and water, if needed. If there are any dust particles on the inside glass surface, try using a wet lint-free cloth rolled on a Q-Tip to clean it.  [back to top]

Q10: Is The Magic Frame sold in retail stores?

A: No. Currently, The Magic Frame is not sold in regular retail stores. The reason is that the manufacturer feels the product needs to be demonstrated in order to sell, and most retail stores would not have the staff to demonstrate The Magic Frame.  [back to top]

Q11: Do you have a catalog or brochure for The Magic Frame?

A: No. The manufacturer no longer print paper catalogs or brochures. However, all of the product information is available on-line at this website.  [back to top]

TQ1: Sometimes when I pull the drawer out and push it back in, the photo does not advance. What am I doing wrong?

A: The common causes are:
a) The drawer may not be pulled out all the way. You must pull the drawer ALL THE WAY OUT until you hear a crisp "snap" sound - do not be afraid that you will break the unit by pulling it all the way out. Likewise, you must push the drawer back in smoothly until it is fully inside the frame.
b) The edge of the photo may be frayed. Remove the picture from the bottom of the stack in the drawer, turn it around 180 degrees and re-insert it. If this still does not work, remove this photo altogether and try the next photo.
c) The photos may be sticky or stuck together. Go through all of the photos manually to check that all photos are in good condition, without any folds or creases, tears, or crumpled edges, and that there are no sticky residues from food or drinks on any of the photos.  [back to top]

TQ2: The drawer won't pull out. What should I do?

A: Warning: DO NOT attempt to disassemble the unit - you will ruin the unit for sure, and it will NOT be covered under the warranty!

Open the drawer just to the point where it is stuck tightly (typically about 1/2"). Do not pull it open any further; just close the drawer. Repeat this action over and over. Eventually, you will be able to pull the drawer past the point where it was stuck tightly. The common causes are:
a) The photos have a curl. Try flattening out the photos by bending them in the opposite direction over a smooth edge.
b) There are too few photos inside The Magic Frame drawer. Put in at least 12 photos.
c) Two or more photos are stuck inside. Check for sticky residues from food or drinks on any of the photos and clean or remove these photos.  [back to top]

TQ3: I have a few photos stuck inside, and the drawer will not close. What should I do?

Warning: Warning: DO NOT attempt to disassemble the unit - you will ruin the unit for sure, and it will NOT be covered under the warranty!

The best thing to do is to send the unit to us with the photos stuck inside. We will carefully remove the photos and return both the photos and the unit back to you at no charge (you pay the shipping one way and we pay the shipping the other way). Alternatively, IF AND ONLY IF you are VERY GOOD with your hands and are used to working DELICATELY (ask your spouse if this description fits you!), you can follow the instructions in our REPAIRS section.  [back to top]
